What ACET Offers
HIV is an issue that is particularly relevant to young
people.
Over half the world's population is under the age of 25 and more
than 6,000 become infected with HIV every day. Young people (15-24
years old) now account for half of all new HIV infections
worldwide.
ACET provides a range of innovative education programmes for
children and young people which all have two key aims:
- to prevent them from becoming infected; and
- to reduce the stigma and discrimination which currently
surrounds HIV, increasing the suffering of those affected and
reducing the effectiveness of HIV prevention programmes.
